We're out 'n about again!

The kids were off school and we had an activity day again. Above is a photo of Veronica, Marcus, Rebecca, Vårin and Kirsten Slagstad (wild sheep farmer) and two brand new wild sheep lambs. We were lucky to get this close to them. They are pretty shy.

Next stop was the beach where we grilled hot dogs and found rocks for '5-stone' game and larger rocks for the tulip garden at the 'Old Folks Home'.

Lots of tulips are coming up. The kids planted them last fall, and they were really happy to see the results of the work they did several months ago.

A happy gang: Vårin, Rebecca, Marcus, Veronica (Barbara was playing with a friend on the other island).

We couldn't pass up a visit to the sheep farm. Marcus was showing us how to hold the lambs.

We helped carry out lambs to the field. The lambs and sheep stay inside for about 2 days. Then, they are let out in the field to eat fresh grass. Soon they will be lot out into the 'wilderness' (if you can call it that on Sandsøy!!) to eat and grow until the fall....when they will become.......lamb chops (sorry, Linda!).
