Randi is a teacher.

I now teach in a 40% position at the elementary and middle school on Bjarkøy (1st-10th grade).
I assist in Barbara's class (3rd and 4th) 3 lessons per week, and I am a support teacher for a 10th grader 6 lessons per week. I also have the honor of teaching Home Economics for 8th and 9th grades. We have had a lot of fun so far. The kids are great!!! We have made our own blog with photos, recipes and notes on nutrition. The students really enjoy checking that out when they cook at home. We have only been in the kitchen together two times and we are up again tomorrow, Thursday. We have made Fajitas (everything Mexican is called Tacos in Norway) and last week we celebrated Chinese New Year with spring rolls. Tomorrow we will make the local delicacy: Mølje, which is cod, liver and fish eggs. We'll skip the liver and mix the fish eggs into little hamburgers. The kids don't really like old-fashioned Mølje, but we have to check it out and make our own version of it.

Two students making apple crips.

Here is the gang gathered at the table. This is from our Fajita Fiesta. There are only 8 students in 8th and 9th grades - a bunch of great kids. We made our own individual orange juice.

Here is a view from the school kitchen. They are all good at cooking and cleaning.
